Putting Contest Rules
- Minimum Jackpot will be $200. Each week’s jackpot is announced prior to that week’s contest.
- Jackpot applies to the 34′ and 42′ putts only.
- To win the full jackpot, a contestant must make both the 34′ and 42′ putts.
- If only the 34′ putt is made, contestants share a consolation prize, based on the number of golfers present.
- For any jackpot above $500, a portion of the additional amount may be awarded as a gift certificate.
Point System
Points are awarded each week during 4 seasons. The seasons include all games played during the following periods: Dec-Jan-Feb; Mar-Apr-May; Jun-Jul-Aug; and Sep-Oct-Nov
The male and female point leaders at the end of each season win a $50 gift certificate to the club. The male and female winners of the season playoffs win a coveted parking spot for the following season.
There are two ways to score points…
- as a member of a Nine ‘n Dine Team, and
- as an individual in putting, chipping and driving
Individual and team points are awarded to each player, and the totals for each player on a team are added to get the team score each week.
All members of a team will receive the same points each week:
…..1st Low Gross or Low Net* – 3 points
…..2nd Low Gross or Low Net* – 2 points
…..3rd Low Gross or Low Net* – 1 points
…..Birdies – 2 points each, up to a maximum of 10 points
…..Eagles – 3 points each
…..Double Eagles – 15 points each
* Only one award per team; best score in either category prevails
Individual points are awarded per player:
Nearest to the pin points:
…..Closest – 12 points
…..2nd closest – 10 points
…..3rd closest – 8 points
…..Inside 10′ to the pin bonus – 2 points
…..All others on the Green – 3 points
Putting contest points:
…..5′ putt made – 6 points
…..10′ putt made – 8 points each (keep putting the 10′ putt until you miss)
…..34′ putt made – 25 points & share of daily jackpot
…..42′ putt made – 40 points plus progressive jackpot
Chipping contest points:
…..Land your chip within 10′ of pin – 10 points
…..Chip-in – 20 points
